Founded in 1994 by Dirk Starksen as a side project from his role at Kennedy Engineered Products, ACT began developing clutches for Japanese import drag racing vehicles like Mitsubishi Eclipse and Honda B-series engines. The company operates from a 22,000 sq ft facility in Lancaster, CA, where it manufactures diaphragm springs and assembles products.
