Agape
ActiveOverview
Agape is an Italian bathroom furniture and design company that has positioned itself as a leader in contemporary bathroom architecture since 1973. The brand is known for transforming the bathroom from a purely functional space into an integral part of home design and personal wellbeing. Agape offers over 550 products including washbasins, tapware, furniture, bathtubs, lighting, and accessories, all designed with emphasis on quality materials, craftsmanship, and sustainability. The company operates as an independent, family-run business and is recognized as a significant example of Made in Italy design excellence.
History
Agape was established in 1973 by the Benedini family in Verona and later relocated to Mantua. The company was founded with the vision of creating new interpretations of bathroom design, moving beyond functional necessity toward emotional and architectural significance. Brothers Giampaolo and Emanuele Benedini, both architects, have led the business and played key roles in developing the brand's design philosophy. In 2009, Agape established Agapecasa in collaboration with designer Angelo Mangiarotti to re-edition timeless pieces from post-war Italian design. The company has maintained independence while building an extensive network of partnerships with Italian manufacturers and craftsmen.
