Overview

AXS is a global ticketing platform that provides end-to-end ticketing technology, marketing, and data analytics services to venues, sports teams, event organizers, and promoters worldwide. The company operates as the primary ticketing partner for over 500 premier venues and events across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, including major properties like Crypto.com Arena, The O2, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and major festivals like Coachella. AXS handles both primary ticket sales and resale marketplaces, generating approximately $2 billion in annual transactions and serving as a critical infrastructure provider in the live entertainment industry.

History

AXS was founded in 2011 as a partnership between Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) and Outbox Technology, a white-label ticketing platform company. The platform launched with phased rollout across AEG-operated venues and promoted events, with the first major concert available exclusively through AXS being Beyoncé at Crypto.com Arena in 2013. In 2014, AXS acquired and merged with Veritix, a digital ticketing and event marketing application, significantly expanding its capabilities. In September 2019, AEG acquired Outbox's remaining stake in the partnership, making AXS a wholly-owned subsidiary of AEG. The company has since expanded globally to become a leading ticketing infrastructure provider serving hundreds of venues and events worldwide.
