History

Ludovic Ballouard, born in 1971 in Brittany, France, trained in watchmaking and moved to Geneva in 1998, working at Franck Muller and F.P. Journe before launching his brand in May 2009. He introduced his first watch, the Upside Down with a patented inverted time display, in December 2009 despite the financial crisis.³⁶⁸ In 2012, he released the Half Time, a jumping hour model emphasizing the present moment, and created the Opus XIII for Harry Winston in 2013. He became a member of the AHCI and obtained Swiss nationality.⁵⁷⁸

Manufacturing

Watches are produced in a workshop in the Geneva countryside, Switzerland. Movements like the Upside Down calibre B01 are fully in-house, developed and patented by Ludovic Ballouard. Cases, crowns, and buckles are hand-engraved in Geneva.¹⁶
