History

CIOKS was founded in 1991 by Poul Ciok with the initial CIOKS Baby power supply offering five 9V outlets. In 1995, it introduced the Big John (seven 9V outlets) and Double Jack (five 9V plus two 12V outlets) as digital effects pedals gained popularity. The company advanced to switch-mode power supplies with the Future Power Generation range in 2017, designed by Mads Peter Frium, and debuted the first three products at NAMM in 2018. Poul Ciok continues to own and run the business.¹²³
