The Dietrich family began selling goods at Renninger's Farmers Market near Kutztown, Pennsylvania, in 1957. Verna E. (Leiby) Dietrich opened the butcher shop and country store in 1975 on the family farm in Albany Township, Berks County. Founded by Willard F. Dietrich and Verna, the business continued under family operation until Verna's passing in August 2024 at age 93.
