Overview

Drop Coffee is a Swedish specialty coffee roastery and café founded in 2009 in Stockholm. It focuses on light to medium roast profiles, single-origin coffees that are sweet and clear in taste, with an emphasis on transparency and sustainability. The company operates a roastery, one café, and supplies wholesale customers worldwide, holding organic certification since 2018.

History

Drop Coffee was founded in 2009 in Stockholm as a coffee bar near Mariatorget. It began roasting its own beans in 2010 using a 1kg roaster in the shop, expanded to wholesale in 2012 with a 25kg Diedrich roaster and dedicated facility, and relocated the roastery to Rosersberg north of Stockholm in 2018, achieving organic certification that year. Ownership is held by Joanna Alm Leighton, a three-time Swedish Coffee Roasting Champion, and Stephen Leighton.
