History

EOTECH was founded in 1995, originating from technologies developed at the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan (ERIM), focusing on holographic weapon sights. The company has been a provider of rugged sights to Special Operations Forces since inception. In 2016, it introduced the Vudu line of magnified optics. In 2021, EOTECH acquired the Photonics division of Intevac. In 2025, it merged with VKI to add TAK solutions.
