Ercuis
ActiveOverview
Ercuis is a French silversmith founded in 1867, specializing in silverware, silver-plated flatware, and steel tableware for high-end tables. It supplies luxury hotels, restaurants, ocean liners, and private dining, and is a member of the Comité Colbert since 1978. The company shifted from religious silverware to tableware and joined Arcturus Group in 2015.
History
Founded in 1867 by Abbé Adrien Céleste Pillon in the village of Ercuis, France, initially focusing on religious silverware before shifting to tableware. In 1886, it partnered with Georges Maës, adopting the Centaur hallmark, with the Maës family managing for three generations and expanding production for World Expos in 1889 and 1900. Throughout the 20th century, it supplied ocean liners like Normandie and France, collaborated with designers, and in 1992 took a stake in Raynaud porcelain; since 2015, it has been part of Arcturus Group.
