Overview

Flaneurz produces detachable roller skates that attach to compatible shoes, enabling users to switch between walking and skating. The company focuses on urban mobility products combining footwear and skating functionality, with manufacturing in France. It launched a secondary brand Slades in 2021 for more affordable roller sneakers.

History

Flaneurz was founded in 2014 in France by Florian, Walid, and Arnaud, with a patented detachable skate mechanism developed after three years of research and launched via Kickstarter in 2015. The company established its workshop and premises in Pantin near Paris in August 2020, and production facilities in Grenoble. In June 2021, it introduced Slades as a more accessible priced brand.
