Galway Crystal was established in 1967 by local business people from the Galway Junior Chamber of Commerce, starting production on Nun’s Island. It relocated in the late 1960s to a facility on Dublin Road and joined the Belleek Group in April 1993. A new building opened on the site in 1996, from which the company continues to operate. Galway Irish Crystal Limited was formally incorporated on January 21, 1993.
