Gutbrain Ventures is an independent venture capital firm that invests primarily in enterprise software companies and has been active for 30 years.¹⁵ It is headed by Bob Davoli, who founded and led companies like SQL Solutions (sold to Sybase in 1990) and Epoch Systems (sold to EMC in 1993).¹⁵

History

Gutbrain Ventures has been making investments for 30 years, led by founder and general partner Bob Davoli.¹⁵ Bob Davoli co-founded and served as CEO of SQL Solutions, which was bootstrapped without venture capital and sold to Sybase in 1990 for over $100M in shareholder value.¹ He was also CEO of Epoch Systems, sold to EMC in 1993, yielding a 14X return for Gutbrain Ventures.¹
