History

HAIX was founded in 1948 by Xaver Haimerl in Mainburg, Bavaria, initially producing hiking and work boots. In 1992, his son Ewald Haimerl developed the first leather firefighting boots, marking specialization in professional footwear. The company grew into a global supplier for emergency services, military, and industry, with production facilities in Germany and Croatia. In 2020, HAIX acquired German workwear manufacturer Gustav Wahler.³⁴
