History

Hogue, Inc. was founded in 1968 by Guy Hogue, a Los Angeles Police Department officer, who began making custom pistol grips to fit his hand and later for fellow officers. He retired from law enforcement to focus on the business full-time. The company expanded to produce grips in rubber and wood for at least 16 handgun brands, rifle stocks, and holsters. In 2011, it entered knife production, prompting a headquarters move from California to Nevada due to state laws on automatic knives.³⁵
