JT

Overview

JT Paintball is one of the oldest paintball companies in the industry, tracing its origins to the earliest days of the sport. The brand is best known for pioneering paintball eyewear, introducing the first goggle and mask system designed specifically for paintball, and establishing industry standards with products like the JT Spectra Pro Shield and JT ProFlex mask system that remain popular nearly two decades after their introduction. Today, JT operates as a division under Kore Outdoor and offers a range of products spanning from high-end paintball clothing to entry-level beginner markers.

History

JT Sports originated in the earliest days of paintball, with JT Racing initially focused on motocross before entering the paintball market. The company debuted its first paintball mask, the JT Whippersnapper, in 1985, establishing itself as an innovator in protective eyewear. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, JT released iconic products including the JT Softstream (1994) and JT ProFlex (1997), which became industry standards adopted by professional teams. In 2015, GI Sportz acquired KEE Action Sports, which included JT Paintball as a division. The company is now operated under the Kore Outdoor (US) Inc. banner with support managed through Paintball Solutions.

Reputation

JT is regarded as a legendary brand in paintball history, synonymous with 'old school paintball' and recognized for creating some of the most iconic goggle systems ever produced. The ProFlex mask in particular is celebrated as the most popular goggle system in the sport's history and remains widely used by enthusiasts and professionals. The brand benefits from strong brand recognition and nostalgia among long-time players. However, as a division of a larger parent company, JT's independent innovation and market presence have diminished compared to its historical prominence in the industry.
