History
Founded in 1914 by Paul Lux and his family in Waterbury, Connecticut, the company initially specialized in clock movements. Robertshaw-Fulton Controls Company acquired Lux Clock Manufacturing in 1961 and continued producing thermostats and timers. Michael DeLuca purchased the consumer division in 1991, establishing Lux Products Corporation as an independent entity headquartered in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Johnson Controls acquired Lux in October 2018, and EME Limited subsequently purchased the brand and assets from Johnson Controls in 2023, establishing EME Americas, Inc. to restore Lux's presence in the U.S. market.
