Overview

Morelato Ebanisteria Italiana is an Italian furniture manufacturer specializing in high-quality wooden furniture and cabinet-making, with a focus on contemporary classic designs inspired by historical styles and rationalist architecture. Established as a company in the 1960s, it produces chairs and desks listed in design catalogs, using certified wood from reforestation areas to minimize environmental impact. The brand emphasizes modular and customizable furnishings developed through its internal Research Center.³⁶

History

Morelato was founded in Venice in 1930 with a tradition in manufacturing, becoming a formal company in the 1960s. In collaboration with architect Ugo La Pietra, its Research Center studied works by Giò Ponti and Guglielmo Ulrich, drawing from rationalist architecture to create the Novecento collection of geometric, functional, and modular furniture.
