Overview

Prudence is a New York-based venture capital firm founded in 2009 that invests in early-stage technology companies developing AI and software solutions for construction, real estate, infrastructure, and climate/energy adaptation sectors.¹²³ The firm backs founders building transformative technologies for the built world and has been an early investor in companies such as AI Clearing, Casafari, Compass, CREXi, Evernest, Hemlane, Maxwell, Propexo, Salus, Sundae, and VendorPM.¹⁴

History

Prudence was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in New York.¹³ The firm has managed multiple funds, including Prudence Fund III, which closed in March 2024, and an earlier fund that closed in May 2021.³ It focuses on early-stage investments in technology for real estate and construction, with partners including David Fischer, Gavin Myers, and Jordan Viniar.³
