History

Quantum-Systems was founded in January 2015 by former Bundeswehr officer and helicopter pilot Florian Seibel, who left his PhD at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich after patenting a drone prototype.⁴ The first Trinity prototype flew in 2016, with production starting in 2018, initially targeting agriculture, surveying, and mapping.⁴ The company expanded into defense applications post-2022, achieving unicorn status in May 2025 as Europe's first dual-use unicorn.⁴
