Overview

Senoh Corporation manufactures hardware sports and exercise equipment, specializing in gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, badminton, and paravolleyball gear for competitions and facilities. It supplies around 60% of public sector gymnasiums in Japan and holds multiple international accreditations as the only Japanese firm to do so. The company provided equipment for the Tokyo 1964 Olympics and the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, including gymnastics, volleyball, and wheelchair basketball events.

History

Founded in 1908 in Japan as an owner-operated purveyor of agricultural equipment, Senoh pivoted to sports equipment after a request from Mihashi to produce gymnastics gear for training PE instructors. It expanded from basketball hoops and volleyball net supports to comprehensive gymnasium equipment, including high bars and pommel horses initially for soldier training. Senoh supplied gymnastics equipment for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and was the sole provider for multiple events at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
