History

Silhouette Group was founded in 1964 in Linz, Austria, by Anneliese and Arnold Schmied as a family business, now in its third generation. It gained acclaim with innovations like the Titan Minimal Art eyewear for its lightness and comfort. In 2016, it launched NEUBAU EYEWEAR, followed by evil eye sports brand in 2019, and became a full-service provider of frames and lenses since 2017. By 2018, it reached the milestone of producing 100 million pairs of eyewear.¹²⁴
