History

Sockwell was launched in 2011 by Goodhew, LLC, founded in 2008 by Thomas Lee and Jim Markley in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mercedes Marchand joined in late 2010 to develop the therapeutic compression sock line. The first Sockwell products shipped in September 2011. In 2017, Goodhew products were integrated into Sockwell as Sockwell Essentials. In 2018, the brand updated its logo, color palette, and voice.
