Overview

SP Bindings produces snowboard bindings, known for the patented FASTEC® system that enables fast entry and classic entry options. Part of SP United Holding AG, it focuses on high-quality, durable products using aircraft-grade aluminum and reinforced plastics, compatible with standard snowboard mounting systems. The brand emphasizes long-term use with lifetime baseplate warranties and a 15+ year spare parts archive.

History

SP Bindings originated from SnowPro, founded in 1988 by Thomas Krenn in Birgel, Germany, initially manufacturing plate bindings for snowboarders. It expanded into step-in and soft bindings, rebranding to SP Bindings in the early 2000s amid the soft bindings hype. Thomas Krenn remains owner and CEO, with corporate headquarters relocated to Vienna, Austria, in the mid-1990s.
