SP Bindings originated from SnowPro, founded in 1988 by Thomas Krenn in Birgel, Germany, initially manufacturing plate bindings for snowboarders. Thomas Krenn remains owner and CEO, with corporate headquarters relocated to Vienna, Austria, in the mid-1990s.
