History

Spidi was founded in 1977 by Renato Dalla Grana in Italy as a racing gloves manufacturer for motorcycle riders. It achieved early success in 1979 with world champion Kenny Roberts in the 500 class and became Italy's leading biker gloves company by 1982. The company incorporated in 1985, began producing full motorcycle apparel in 1989, and moved to new headquarters in Sarego, Vicenza in 1991. It established a US subsidiary, Spidi Incorporated, in 2013.
