History

Founded in 2012 by Will and Kathleen Pratt in Portland, Maine, after their experience in coffee in Boston, Martha's Vineyard, San Francisco, and New York. They established a cafe and roastery in a 1930s brick building in the East Bayside neighborhood. In 2014, they opened a second location, Tandem Coffee + Bakery, in the West End with baker Briana Holt, a James Beard nominee.
