Taos
ActiveOverview
TAOS is a Swiss independent watch brand established in 2024, specializing in unique, handcrafted timepieces that integrate métiers d'art techniques such as enameling, engraving, miniature painting, and gem-setting. It positions itself in the ultra-luxury segment for collectors seeking one-of-a-kind horological art pieces produced in micro-quantities. The brand combines artistic dials from its Geneva workshop with custom-finished automatic movements.
History
TAOS was founded in 2024 by watchmaker Olivier Gaud and brothers Olivier and Dominique Vaucher of Atelier Olivier Vaucher, a Geneva-based dial-making workshop established in 1978. The collaboration aimed to create an independent brand focused on métiers d'art, debuting with an inaugural collection of seven unique 38mm watches. Production remains limited to a few exceptional pieces annually, emphasizing artisanal craftsmanship over mass output.

Critics note its extreme pricing and micro-output limit broader accessibility, positioning it firmly in the collector-only category.
