History

Rory Dowling founded Taran Guitars in 2007 after studying furniture design and developing an interest in luthiery. In 2013, he relocated to the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland, where he renovated an old dairy on Balcaskie Estate for operations. The business formalized as Taran Guitars Limited in November 2020.
