History

Tim Wendelboe was founded in 2007 and has operated from the same espresso bar location at Grünersgate 1 in the Grünerløkka neighborhood of Oslo since its inception. In 2018, the roastery and cupping lab relocated a few blocks east to Tøyengata 29c while maintaining the original espresso bar. The company has maintained consistent operations roasting to order on a weekly basis and has expanded its distribution to serve customers across multiple continents.

Tim Wendelboe roasts coffee in-house at its dedicated roastery facility in Oslo using a Loring 25kg roaster. The roastery includes a cupping lab for quality control and employs post-roast quality assurance processes including color tracking and a Sovda color sorter. All coffee is roasted to order on a weekly basis rather than maintaining large inventories.
