History

Trilobe was founded in 2018 by Gautier Massonneau, a former banking and finance professional with no family watchmaking background, who sought to fill a niche in independent watchmaking with innovative time-telling concepts. After two years of research and development, the brand released its first collection in 2018, establishing its signature trilobe design language inspired by three-lobed forms. In 2024-2025, Trilobe opened a full manufacture in Paris's Opéra district, marking a major milestone toward complete vertical integration and independence. The brand developed its first fully in-house calibre, the X-Nihilo, which debuted in the Trente-Deux sports watch, representing a significant step in manufacturing autonomy.
