History

Voile was founded in 1980 by Wally Wariakois in Salt Lake City, Utah, initially focusing on telemark bindings. In 1991, it introduced the first production splitboard, the Voilé Split Decision, developed with Brett “Kowboy” Kobernik. The company innovated with products like ski straps, Hooks/Clips/Pucks system, and skis such as the Charger, Vector, V8, V6, and SuperCharger, establishing industry standards for splitboard assembly.
