WiZ Connected was founded in 2016 in Hong Kong by French entrepreneurs with prior experience in lighting design and engineering since 2004. The WiZ brand launched as a startup in 2017, focusing on Wi-Fi smart lighting ecosystems. Signify acquired the company in 2019, integrating it into its connected lighting portfolio while retaining the WiZ brand and team.¹²⁵
